At present the Octode Ltd carries out broadcasting in the MW band on 5 frequencies and also has got three clear frequencies. Depending on the transmitter power, frequency used and transmitting antenna type the radius of the reliable reception zone is from 20 to 40 km. Good location of the MW station (North-West of Moscow) allows to use transmitters of relatively small radiation power (5 - 10 KW). This determines not high specific cost of radio programme broadcasting as regards the number of their listeners.
For broadcasting in the MW band different types of antennas with towers 45 - 55 m high are used that are located on our own technical territory.
Highly skilled staff implements the use of MW broadcasting technical facilities. There is a stand by transmitting equipment to raise the broadcasting reliability.
